After a trio of coastal races, the Extreme SuperCars Driven by Dunlop competitors make their way inland for the final round of the 2024 championship at Zwartkops Raceway on 17 & 18 October. While the winners of some of the classes have already been decided, the overall championship is still up for grabs.

In the absence of Stuart White (Into Africa Racing / Sparco / Wurth SA Lamborghini Huracan) who, together with teammate Xolile Letlaka, has decided to focus on other campaigns, Arnold Neveling (GOSCOR Lift Trucks / Bobcat Audi R8 LMS GT3) and Jonathan du Toit (Trans Africa Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO) will fight it out for the overall championship. Just three points separate the pair at the top of the table, and with both favourites in their respective classes, the slightest mistake could influence the outcome.

Despite not being at Zwartkops, White will claim the Class A+ title for 2024. Two wins would give Neveling the runners-up spot in the class, but he will have to overcome the competition that will come from Aldo Scribante (Scribante Concrete Lamborghini Huracan), Kris Budnick (Bucketlist Racing Dodge Viper) and Charl Joubert (A-One Bakkie Spares Lotus Elise).

With 14 wins in the 16 heats run this season, du Toit has wrapped up the GT3 championship but faces a severe challenge to also land the overall title. Last time out at Killarney, Silvio Scribante (Cemza Lamborghini Huracan) was only prevented from taking a double victory by a puncture in the second heat. If Scribante can repeat that form at Zwartkops, du Toit must be on top of his game to take the wins he needs. Gianni Giannoccaro (BISC Transport / Stradale Motorsport Nismo GT3) is a safe bet for second place in the GT3 championship.

The Class A crown has come down to a shootout between Ricky Giannoccaro (G&H Transport McLaren MP4-12C GT3) and Charl Arangies (Stradale Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 Cup). While out of contention for the class championship after spending most of the season in Class B, Ant Blunden in the second G&H Transport McLaren MP4-12C GT3 could also feature on the day.

Blunden has the Class B title, but Mark du Toit (Trans Africa Racing Ferrari 430 GT3) and newcomer Shayer Harpal (Stradale Motorsport Porsche 997 GT3 Cup) should fight it out for class honours on track with Peter Zeelie (Zeelie Auditors Lotus Elise) also likely to join the fray.

Jimmy Giannoccaro (G&H Transport Audi R8 GT4) and Uli Sanne (BMW Z4) should contest Classes C and D, respectively.

After a quartet of practice sessions on Friday, the drivers will head onto the 2.4km circuit for qualifying at 09h05 on Saturday morning. The first of two 15-lap heats follows at 11h35, with heat two scheduled for 15h05. Both races will be live-streamed on https://extremefestival.co.za/live/
