After a long winter break, the Extreme SuperCars driven by Dunlop return to the track for the fourth round of their 2026 season at Cape Town’s Killarney International Raceway on 18 and 19 September.
The top two in both the overall and GT3 championships, Charl Arangies (Stradale Motorsport Mercedes AMG GT3 EVO) and champion Jonathan du Toit (Trans Africa Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO), will almost certainly be fighting for overall victory around the 3.267km circuit.
Behind them, the Class A championship is very close. Just two points separate Karah Hill (Promigen Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO), Ricky Giannoccaro (G&H Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3) and his brother Gianni (Bisc Transport/Sparco Audi R8 LMS). They will be joined by Paul Hill (Kalex Aston Martin Vantage) and local man Marcel Angel (Autohaus Angel Ferrari 488 GT3).
Class B championship leader Roy Obery is still waiting for his Porsche gearbox to be repaired, which will give Ant Blunden (Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo) a chance to move into the class lead. His main competition is likely to come from Wayne Roach (Stradale Motorsport Porsche 991 GT3 Cup Gen 1), Jimmy Giannoccaro (G&H Racing Nismo GT3) andRyan Louw (G&H Racing/Diesel Bros Lamborghini Gallardo Trofeo).
Class C is an all Cape Town affair. In the same event last year, Wayne Hoffman (RBR/Hoffman Property Group Porsche 992 GT3 Cup) ran in the podium positions, but an upgraded car could see him promoted to Class B. Weylin Volschenk (IMC-SA Porsche 997.1 Cup) and Yanni Hatzi (Nissan S14) fought for Class C honours back in March this year, with Volschenk just getting the edge.
Series newcomer Deven Pillay (LCLK Motorsport Porsche 991 Cup) will also be in action. He will be allocated to a class once he has set a representative time.
The drivers will have three practice sessions on Friday before their qualifying session starts at 16:40. On Saturday, they will kick off the day’s racing programme with the first of their three 12-lap races at 10:00. The second race is scheduled for 13:35, with the final heat bringing the day’s racing to a close at 17:15
