After the tragic accident at Killarney International Raceway that claimed the life of Marcel Angel, and the subsequent cancellation of the event, the Extreme SuperCars driven by Dunlop will end their 2026 season at Zwartkops Raceway, outside Pretoria, on 17 and 18 October.

With no points scored in Cape Town, the top two in both the overall and GT3 championships, Charl Arangies (Stradale Motorsport Mercedes AMG GT3 EVO) and champion Jonathan du Toit (Trans Africa Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO), will be fighting for championship honours. Arangies has an 11-point advantage in the standings, and a victory combined with a second place on Saturday will be enough to secure him the 2026 crown.
With Ricky Giannoccaro and his brother Gianni absent, the Class A championship is headed to Karah Hill (Promigen Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO). The series’ only female driver leads the class by two points. Her main challenger for the class win this weekend will be Mark du Toit (Trans Africa Racing Ford GT).

Roy Obery is still waiting for his Porsche gearbox to be repaired, and Ant Blunden is not on the entry list. However, the pair will still finish as the top two in Class B. Shayur Harpal (Stradale Motorsport Porsche 991.1 GT3 Cup MR), one of two Class B entries, is making his season debut and will not score enough points to challenge the leaders even if he does beat Marc Miller (Open Astra) in all three heats.
Class C will be the battle of the BMW Z4s, with Peter Bailey and Ishmael Baloyi fighting for bragging rights.
Both Friday and Saturday promise to be very warm, according to the weather forecast, and high track temperatures will challenge the drivers as they take on three practice sessions before qualifying gets underway at 15:45 on Friday afternoon. They will have three 12-lap races on Saturday, with the first of those at 10:15. The second race is just before the lunch break at 12:55, with the final heat three hours later at 15:55
