The 2025 Extreme Supercars driven by Dunlop championship will be decided at Zwartkops Raceway in Pretoria on 24 &25 October, when the drivers tackle the final three heats of the season.

Jonathan du Toit (Trans Africa Racing Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO) has a 19-point advantage in the overall championship standings headed for Zwartkops. Still, with 30 points on offer this weekend, he cannot afford to relax as he tries to claim the title, having finished in the runner-up spot for the past two years. Ricky Giannoccaro (G&H Transport Lamborghini Huracan GT3) is du Toit’s closest rival, with another three drivers within nine points of him. Kris Budnick (Bucketlist Composites Dodge Viper) missed the last round in Cape Town, but remains in third place just three points behind Giannoccaro. Charl Arangies (Stradale Motorsport Mercedes AMG GT3 EVO), who won two of the three heats in Cape Town, is just a point behind Budnick, with fifth-place man Paul Hill (Promigen Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo 2) a further five points back.
In the GT3 class, du Toit leads Arangies by 23 points, so while not assured of the title, he would need something to go seriously wrong to be denied another crown. Gianni Giannoccaro, who is in third place in the GT3 battle, could influence the outcome of the races as he has his first outing in the BISC Transport/Sparco Audi R8 LMS GT3. While Gianni cannot claim the GT3 title, there is a chance that he could oust Arangies to claim second place.

Class A is far from decided. Ricky Giannoccaro leads the way, but Budnick and Hill are both within striking distance. Marius Jackson (MJR Motorsport Audi R8 GT3) and Mark du Toit (Trans Africa Racing Bailey Ford GT), although not in the championship fight, will both be seeking race victories.
Uli Sanne (BMW Z4) appears to have things all his own way in Class C, while in Class D, Jimmy Giannoccaro has opted to drive the G&H Transport Nismo GTR GT3 this weekend, and it will be interesting to see how he fares in the car, which is usually driven by his son, Gianni.
Three practice sessions on Friday will allow the drivers to set up their cars for the weekend, before tackling qualifying at 08h20 on Saturday morning. Three 10-lap races will decide the outcome of the championship after that. The first one gets the day’s racing programme underway at 09h45. Heat two is scheduled for 12h20, with the final one at 15h25.
