Just four weeks after their last trip to the Eastern Cape, the Extreme SuperCars Driven by Dunlop competitors head 300km up the coast to East London, where the sixth round of the 2024 championship will take place on 26 and 27 July at the iconic East London Grand Prix Circuit.

Arnold Neveling opted to move to the unrestricted Class A+ at the series’ last outing at the Aldo Scribante Racetrack. The move paid off for him as he piloted his GOSCOR Lift Trucks / Bobcat Audi R8 LMS GT3 to three heat wins. Neveling is now just three points behind overall championship leader Jonathan du Toit (Trans Africa Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO).

Stuart White (Into Africa Racing / Sparco / Wurth SA Lamborghini Huracan), who lies third in the overall championship, should be Neveling’s closest rival in the A+ class. However, Xolile Letlaka, in the second Into Africa Racing / Sparco / Wurth SA Lamborghini Huracan, will also be looking to add to his points tally. Aldo Scribante, who has missed the past few rounds, will be back among the Class A+ runners in his Scribante Concrete Lamborghini Huracan.

Jonathan du Toit (Trans Africa Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO) will be joined in the GT3 class by Silvio Scribante (Cemza & Scribante Concrete Lamborghini Huracan), who, like Aldo, has missed the last couple of rounds. At the time of writing, the Stradale Motorsport Mercedes AMG GT3 that Charl Arangies usually drives was still waiting for spares to arrive, so he should be out in the Porsche that took him to three Class A heat wins in Gqeberha.

Four practice sessions on Friday will allow the drivers to get re-acquainted with the fast 3.92km circuit before heading into their qualifying session at 09h30 on Saturday morning. Afterwards, they will compete in two 12-lap races, one at 11h40 and the second at 14h20. Both races will be live-streamed on https://extremefestival.co.za/live/
