Last time out Charl Arangies completely dominated proceedings in his Stradale Motorsport McLaren 12C GT3 after his main rival, Franco Scribante (Porsche 997 Turbo), suffered mechanical problems. They will resume their battle at Zwartkops.

Others who could run close to the front of the field include Jonathan du Toit (Trans Africa Racing Ferrari F430), Elwyn Steenkamp (JEYS Consultants BMW M3), who didn’t have a great day last time the series visited Zwartkops, and Gianni Giannoccaro (G&H Transport Lamborghini 560). Franco Di Matteo (Deltec Batteries Alfa GT) has shown his car is quick, but reliability is sometimes a problem while Peter Zeelie (Zeelie Auditors Toyota MR2) has also shown the speed necessary to run close to the front.

Ant Blunden (SAJCC Porsche 997 GT3) leads the championship standings in Class B. He is likely to face competition from Rick Lourerio (Combined Racing BMW 335) and Derek Hitchcock (Lotus Exige) with Ben Morgenrood (Ben Morgenrood Toyota Lexus) also scheduled to make an appearance. Silvio and Aldo Scribante have indicated that they may make the trip up from the Eastern Cape with their Scribante Construction Audi A4s.

Jimmy Giannoccaro will be out in the G&H Transport Lamborghini normally piloted by son Ricky who is still not fit to drive his car. His chief rivals are likely to be Wynand van der Merwe (Sandton Dental Porsche 911 GT3) and Johan de Bruyn (Odorcure Porsche GT3 Cup).
